The competition also will be run under Volleyball England and FIVB regulations. The tournament format will be determined based on the number of teams entered. Mixed triple teams must have at least one female player.
For both the Doubles and Triples entries will be allocated into pools, with all teams in each pool playing each other once. For the Doubles teams will then go through to a number of play offs to determine the winners and placings. For the triples teams will be sorted into upper, middle and lower pools for a second set of pool matches before play offs to determine the winners and the placings.
The aim to provide at least 4 matches for the Doubles and 5 matches for the Tripples. (This is all depending on entry numbers). Matches will be timed one set matches, with rally point scoring.
As usual, all teams will share the officiating.
The event will be registered and insured with Volleyball England.

Ladies Doubles - Registration& Briefing from 10:00 - Play start 10:30 - Quarter Finals From 13:00
Mens Doubles - Registration & Briefing from 13:30 – Play start 14:00 – Quarter Finals From 16:30
Mens and Ladies Semi & Finals From 16:45
Day 2
Triples - Registration/Briefing from 10:00 - Play start 10:30 – Until 16:00
Quarter/Semi/Finals from 16:15
By Car
Head to the seafront via the M23/A23 or seafront rd (follow signs to city centre / seafront). At the Brighton Pier turn left onto Madeira Drive (east). The venue is situated on the beach between the pier and the Marina opposite Concorde 2.
Parking is available at Pay and display, with plenty of bays along Madeira Drive and Marine Parade. The car park at the marina is 10mins walk to the site and parking is FREE.
By Rail
The closest railway station to Nivea Sun Yellowave Beach Sports Venue is Brighton Station. It is approximately a 20-25 minute walk. From the station, walk straight ahead, down the hill towards the seafront. Turn left and walk past the pier; continue towards the Marina and the venue is half way along Madeira Drive situated on the beach.
By Coach
The closest coach station to Nivea Sun Yellowave Beach Sports Venue is Poole Valley, which is a 10 minute walk from the venue. From the station, which is right next to the Brighton Pier continue walking east along the seafront until you reach the venue on the beach.

Yellowave will be running their BBQ during the afternoon. If demand is there an informal social will be arranged for the evening in Brighton.
