Eligibility: Teams must be comprised of students representing the same institution. There is no limit to the number of teams an institution may enter per gender.
Rules and Format:
Competition Rules
The competition will be run under Volleyball England and FIVB regulations. The tournament format will be determined based on the number of teams entered.
Insurance: The event will be registered and insured with Volleyball England.
Saturday 31st May:
Doubles registration begins at 8:45am;
Compulsory technical meeting at 9:15am;
Doubles play begins at 10:00am.
Sunday 1st June:
Play begins at 10:00am and should end at approximately 4:00pm with the doubles finals.
These times are subject to change and will be confirmed to all teams prior to the event.
There are excellent road links with the M20 and M2 motorways close by.
Parking is available at Mill Lane (CT9 1JU) multi-storey, College Square (CT9 1PU) multi-storey and at various pay points along the seafront.
By Rail
The closest railway station to Margate Main Sands is Margate. The station is served by regular passenger services from London's Victoria and Charing Cross stations and is about 8 minutes’ walk from the venue, or a very short taxi journey.
From the station, exit the main door and turn right following signs for town centre. The beach is directly ahead of you. The venue is at the town centre end of the beach approximately 10 minutes’ walk along the seafront.
By Coach National Express coaches run from London Victoria to Margate taking approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. There are various drop-off points near to the venue.
Bus services stop at various stops along the seafront within one minute’s walk from the venue.
The Thanet Loop is a comprehensive bus service that provides access to locations across the district.
