Cost & Entry Deadline:

• Early bird entries: £26 per team, available up to 12noon Monday 1 June.
• Standard entries: £33 per team, available up to 12noon Monday 20 June.
• Late entries: £40 per team, available after the standard entry deadline, up to the Thursday before the event at the tournament promoter's sole discretion.

Entries: There shall be no limit to the number of teams entering. Teams shall be seeded in accordance with the VEBT seeding system.

Prize Money: Total prize money is £1000.

Rules and Format: The competition will be run under Volleyball England and FIVB regulations. The tournament format will be determined based on the number of teams entered.

Insurance: The event will be registered and insured with Volleyball England.

Getting to Margate Main Sands

By Car

Dreamland car park will be the best option for parking at the event as it is only 1 minute from the venue. Yellow signage will guide you to the car park site and charges are £2.50 for the whole day.

• There are excellent road links with the M20 and M2 motorways close by.  
• For full details of the venue see enclosed sheet. 
• Parking is available at Mill Lane (CT9 1JU) multi-storey, College Square (CT9 1PU) multi-storey and at various pay points along the seafront.

NB: Please note the multi-storey car parks close promptly at 7pm so please be aware that if not retrieved they will be locked in over night.

By Rail

The closest railway station to Margate Main Sands is Margate. The station is served by regular passenger services from London's Victoria and Charing Cross stations and is about 8 minutes’ walk from the venue, or a very short taxi journey.

From the station, exit the main door and turn right following signs for town centre. The beach is directly ahead of you. The venue is at the town centre end of the beach approximately 10 minutes’ walk along the seafront.

By Coach

• National Express coaches run from London Victoria to Margate taking approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. There are various drop-off points near to the venue. 
• Bus services stop at various stops along the seafront within one minute’s walk from the venue. The Thanet Loop is a comprehensive bus service that provides access to locations across the district.

Marine Sands Café/Restaurant is directly within the venue and provides hot and cold food, ice creams, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.

The venue is 2 minutes’ walk from the shopping centre which has a range of shops providing hot and cold food and drink. 

The closest drinking water tap is located at the site toilets but bottled water is available at the café on-site.

Toilets 

The closest toilets are located at the venue next to the cafe.

Tournament Party

The tournament party will be held on Saturday 27th June from close of play at the venue. BBQ food and soft drinks will be provided for players and alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase.

A venue in the town will also provide free entrance should people want to continue the celebrations/commiserations.
