Eligibility for Player Awards
All VEBT players are eligible to vote for and receive Player Awards.
Players are ineligible to vote for and receive Player Awards if;
(a) They have defaulted from a match or tournament.
(b) They have been suspended for any duration during the VEBT season.
Awards will be presented at the VEBT Dinner on Saturday 30th August 2008 at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton.
The categories for the Player Awards are as follows:

Best Passer
Best Setter
Best Attacker
Best Blocker
Best Defender
Most Valuable Player
Most Improved Player
Sportsmanship Award
Best Event
Best Server: Lucy Boulton/Albrecht Glitz
Best Passer: Gabi Medricka/Morph Bowes
Best Setter: Shauna Mullin/Richard Payne
Best Attacker: Denise Johns/Morph Bowes
Best Blocker: Eva Czinegeova/Robin Miedzybrodzki
Best Defender: Denise Austin/Richard Payne
Sportsmanship Award: Lenore Gerschwitz/James Burton
Most Improved Player: Marianna Kepicova/Robin Miedzybrodzki
Champions’ Race Winner: Gabi Medricka/Richard Payne
Most Valuable Player: Gabi Medricka/Morph Bowes
Other acknowledgements at the dinner were:
John Gilling, the only player to compete in every event. Another 4 men and 6 women competed in all bar 1 event.
Exceptional Volunteer service way above and beyond any other player: Lenore Gerschwitz- managed registrations at every event and assisted during the day
Gabi Medricka- assisted setup/packup typically 2 hours before/after play.
