
As part of our commitment to volleyball at community level we have revamped the event licence scheme so that it comes in line with other initiatives being delivered throughout the country.
When planning your event why not allow Volleyball England to help with some of the aspects of running your competition/tournament. The newly revamped ''Event Licence' has been designed specifically to provide you with a service that assists you in delivering on some of the following areas; general organisation, marketing & promotion and welfare. A Volleyball England Licence is intended to provide participants with a level of quality assurance that meets their expectations. Above all it helps us and you to ensure that your event is well delivered and that you meet minimum standards of safety.

Benefits
Successful application for an Event Licence will entitle you to the following benefits:
- Public Liability and Products Insurance totalling £5million for the event organisers and all affiliated participants.
- Welfare Pack including guidance on Child Protection (photography posters, labels and register).
- Official tournament recognition and status with Volleyball England.
- Inclusion in Volleyball England website Tournament Register and Planning Diary.
- Provided with and right to use the Volleyball England logo in official promotions.
- Professionally designed templates for posters/programmes.
- Advance notification of the tournament in 3Touch magazine and newsletter.
- Brief resume and main results included in 3Touch.
- Organisers pack
- National Officer advise and guidance.
- Notification of clashes with other tournaments or Volleyball England organised events.
- Consideration as a tournament for the upgrading of referees.
Conditions
In order for Volleyball England fulfilled to provide effective cover and service to the event organisers are required to fulfil the following conditions:
- The club or association organising the event must be affiliated to Volleyball England.
- Affiliation:
In order to ensure benefits to Volleyball England members, event organisers are required to implement a minimum entry fee differential of £5 between affiliated and non-affiliated members.
- Child Protection: All events involving persons under the age of 18 are required to comply with the Volleyball England Child Protection Policy and good practice guidelines (details contained in the Event Licence Pack).
- Competitions Framework:
All competitions involving junior players are required to comply with the National Youth Competitions Framework (details contained in the Event Licence Pack).
- Information:
Volleyball England is constantly looking for ways to improve communication with the volleyball playing public. As part of the licence agreement we request that event organisers collate and forward basic entry details of participating teams to the Volleyball Competitions Officer using the standard forms provided.
Licence fees are charged on the basis of the number of teams participating in the tournament – irrespective of size of team, whether it is pairs, 3v3, 4v4 or 6v6.
As a condition regulations from the F.I.V.B. are strictly enforced in particular for the invitation of representative teams from abroad for major events.
