Volleyball England have developed advice and guidance documents relating to the welfare of young people and guidance for those working with young people. These can be found in the Welfare section of the website.
Through the Step into Sport Programme, there are many young people looking to use their time and skills who could assist with the above.
Step into Sport (SIS) is one the eight strands of the joint Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Department for Education and Skills (DfES) Physical Education, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) Strategy.
Sports Leaders UK (formerly the British Sports Trust), Sport England and the Youth Sport Trust work jointly on this project, building upon their current work within the area of leadership and volunteering.
SIS has been designed to establish a simple framework of co-ordinated opportunities at a local level, to enable young people to begin and sustain an involvement in leadership and volunteering through sport.
The programme helps provide clear pathways of opportunities to train, support and deploy young people into appropriate, safe and rewarding sports leadership and volunteer activity.
