Millennium Volunteers

What is it?

Millennium Volunteers is a scheme targeted at young people aged 16-24 years who are interested in volunteering in their local community. These young volunteers are looking for local placements doing a range of voluntary activities, often with support from a local Millennium Volunteer (MV) representative. These volunteers work towards gaining accreditation for 100 and 200 hours of community volunteering. For more information and to find your nearest MV Project click on www.mvonline.gov.uk.

Step into Sport - Leadership and Volunteering

Is your club looking for help with:

• Organising events/competitions/festivals/tournaments?
• Coaching, assistant coaching?
• General running of the club, administration duties?
• Fundraising, obtaining sponsorship?
• I.T support, website development/maintenance?
• Marketing and promotion?

Through the Step into Sport Programme, there are many young people looking to use their time and skills who could assist with the above.
