    The UKCC Level 1 Award in Coaching Volleyball (QCF) is suitable for those who are new to coaching, but who have some knowledge of the game and would like to learn how to apply that in a coaching environment.   • Course Information

    The Volleyball England Level 2 course prepares the coach who has some experience of competitive volleyball to plan, organise, and deliver a series of volleyball sessions. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and be a registered Level 1 coach with Volleyball England.

    To attain full Level 2 status, candidates must complete a First Aid course. Where this is completed post-course, the Level 2 Award cannot be made until evidence is provided. Until this is done, candidates who pass the Level 2 Award will be given Level 2 (Theory) status only.

    Course Structure

    Four day course combining theory and practical sessions. Assessment is by theory exam and practical assessment on the final day of the course.

  • Course Information

    The Grade 4 Award is the basic introductory refereeing award and is a minimum of 14-16 hours delivery over 2-days. The course comprises both theory and practical sessions but assessment of practical refereeing is not compulsory. The course aims to provide the referee with the knowledge and understanding of tactics and skill used within the 6-a-side game and is delivered in a safe, controlled and enjoyable manner.

    Opportunities are provided for candidates to further extend their experience of practical refereeing in a group setting and assessment is completed by a formal written examination on the rules of volleyball and the use of the scoresheet.

    The cost of the Grade 4 course is £35 and the minimum age for this course is 16 years of age.

    After completing the initial Grade 4 exam, referees will be able to obtain higher grades through practical assessments.  An assessment can be arranged through contacting your regional referee representative.
