Sitting Volleyball Centres

Volleyball England recognises that it is crucially important to develop identified Sitting Centres that are spread across the county in order to give people the oppourtunity to play and enjoy the sport of Sitting Volleyball wherever they are based within England.
Volleyball England’s Sitting Centre Network has grown rapidly since development work was initiated in August 2009 but we are still looking for more players, whatever their age, whatever their experience and whatever their ability or disability.
Each Centre works closely with Volleyball England to:
- Establish a mixed group of able bodied and physically disabled individuals that is working towards training at least once a week.
- Work with a nominated qualified coach who is committed to developing their understanding of Sitting Volleyball.
- Run an equitable and integrated programme that recruits players with the potential to go on and represent Great Britain.
- Be prepared to host and enter a team (containing a certain % of players with GB potential) into Volleyball England Sitting Volleyball National Competitions.
