Go Spike on the BBC
29th November 2011
Sports presenter Mike Bushell was seen playing volleyball at the weekend on BBC breakfast as part of Volleyball England's campaign 'Go Spike' which aims to get more people playing volleyball.
After each Saturday morning bulletin Mike Bushell puts on his shorts and profiles an alternative sport or activity that doesn't usually get the limelight and on Saturday he turned his hand to volleyball!
What better way to highlight that volleyball can be played by anyone anywhere than creating a 'volleyball court' in an urban location in London - under a dual carriageway on the grounds besides West Way Sports Centre (near Shepherds Bush). With a 20m piece of ribbon tied between two pillars the Go Spike court was created.... and the volleyball began!
