Calling all golfers! It's the Volleyball England Golf Day

With funding cuts to the sport in recent times, the England national volleyball teams do not get all the funding they need to be able to train and play as much as they can to make them the best they can be. So the players and staff help drive their own sporting aspirations by raising money to support the teams.

The feature 'Determined to Fly the Flag' from England Men's captain Adam Bradbury in December gave an insight of how committed the players are to raising the funds so they can do their country proud.

In their latest fundraising effort, the England Men's Volleyball Team have launched the Volleyball England Golf Day - so if you're a golfer, now is your chance to enjoy a brilliant day out and help England volleyball! The four-ball event takes place at Oulton Hall Golf Club, home of England's leading golf performance academy, in Leeds on June 1, 2018 and players will enjoy a brilliant day including:

  • Teams of four will enjoy 18 holes on a championship course, The Calverley Course
  • The four-ball format includes a handicap, giving all teams a good chance of winning
  • Breakfast rolls on arrival
  • Evening meal after your round
  • Fun competitions, such as nearest the pin and longest drive
  • A prize giving ceremony

It costs £400 to enter a team of four - so just £100 per person - and you can book your place on the Volleyball England shop.  The England Men's Team will also be raising money for the Volleyball England Foundation on the day, as they want to give something back to the game as a whole too.

So whether you're the next Tiger Woods or Rory McIllroy, or you're more adept at finding the bunker, dust off your clubs and have a great golfing day out - and help volleyball too!
