Have you got an interesting story? We want to hear from you!
17th January 2020
It’s not just the new year we’ve welcomed in here at the Volleyball England Hub, at the start of January Stewart Thorpe joined as our new Content and Communications Coordinator and he’s been busy getting to know the sport.
Stewart replaces Michael Hallam, who left us at the end of 2019, and he’s been talking to the community to find out about the stories that matter most to them. He's even taken part in his first volleyball training session.
So, if you have something interesting to share, whether it relates to a standout individual achievement, a club with a fresh approach or something else, he wants to hear from you.
With a background in community-focused journalism, he’s also keen to get to know volleyball’s grassroots heroes and those whose lives have been transformed by the sport.
Stewart said: “Thank you to all of those within the volleyball community who have made me feel so welcome. I’m thrilled to start work at Volleyball England and I’m looking forward to sharing as many untold stories from every level of the sport as I can.
“But I need you, the players, coaches, officials and volunteers, to help me to curate the very best stories so I can not only share these with the wider community, but help to raise the sport’s profile by reaching beyond it.
“If you have any ideas, or perhaps you’d like some guidance in relation to your own team or club’s communications, please don’t hesitate to drop me an email, it’ll be great to hear from you.”
If you’d like to pitch a story, contribute content or photography or if you’d like to say hello, Stewart can be contacted on email via firstname.lastname@example.org.
