England Senior Beach Volleyball

Senior England Beach Volleyball teams currently compete both on the European stage at NEVZA and CEV events and worldwide on the FIVB World Tour. With the Commonwealth Games including Beach Volleyball for the first time in 2018, on the Gold Coast, this is an exciting time for English Beach Volleyball.

Chris Gregory

Currently competing on the World Tour as part of Team Gregory/Sheaf, Chris is a multiple time VEBT champion, Team GB member and NEVZA beach winner in 2016. He has recently been names as a Team England Athlete Ambassador alongside Jake Sheaf. Chris has previously competed at FIVB World Tour events, CEV Continental cup, CEV Masters, CEV Satellite events and the Baku 2015 European Games.

Jess Grimson

As one half of Team Palmer/Grimson, Jess is looking to compete out on the World Tour in 2017. She is a multiple time VEBT champion and regular competitor at NEVZA and CEV beach events. Along with partner Vicky, she also trains and plays Indoor Volleyball for Wessex in the Super 8's. But is moving her focus to qualification for Commonwealth Games in 2018. She has competed at Junior World Championships, CEV Satellite, CEV Continental Cup and NEVZA events.

Issa Batrane

Having made his way through the England Talent Pathway both Indoor and on the Beach, at international age group levels, Issa has now made his way to competing on the beach at Senior level. He also studies Computer Science and plays Volleyball at Bournemouth University. Issa has recently been selected as one of only 9 athletes in to be part of the TASS England Talented Athlete Advisory Group (TAAG). He has previosuly competed at FIVB U21's World Championships 2015, CEV U20 and U22 European Championships 2015, NEVZA Beach events and the World University Championships 2016.

Phil Smith

Playing on the Beach and Indoor for England at Senior Level in 2016, Phil balances his international commitments with playing for Super 8's side IBB Polonia, having recently competed in the CEV Challenge Cup. As part of the Indoor England Senior Men's team Phil also competed at the CEV European Championships early in 2016. He has previously competed at the CEV Continental Cup 2014 and 2015, on the World Tour in 2014 and 2015 and at NEVZA events.

Yasmin Kaashoek

Yasmin is another talented young player who has made her way through the Talent Pathway, playing both on the Beach and Indoor for England. Having struggled with injury over the past couple of season, Yasmin is working her way back to form and fitness as a Senior player. She plays her Volleyball with Wessex and has previously teamed with Anaya Evans to represent England at age group level CEV and FIVB events. She has previosuly competed at CEV U17 World Championship Qualification event 2014, FIVB U19 2014, CEV U18 2014, CEV Continental Cup 2014 and 2015, CEV U18 2015 and CEV U22 2016.

Anaya Evans

Having made her way through the England Talent Pathway, representing internationally at both Indoor and Beach Volleyball, Anaya is now moving into Senior selection. She plays and trains for Beach Academy in Womens Division 2 South and is a regular on the VEBT circuit. Capping off a busy 2016, she competed at both the U19 NEVZA event in Kettering and the CEV U22 Beach European Championships in Greece. Anaya has previously competed at CEV Youth Continental Cup 2013, CEV U17 World Championships Qualification event 2014, FIVB U19 2014, CEV U18 2014 and 2015, FIVB U21 and U20 2016, CEV U20 and U22 2016.

Mark Garcia-Kidd

Studying, training and playing at the University of East London. Mark is focussing his attention on his Beach career, with additional training at Super 8's team Malory Eagles. He has become a regular player on the national circuit (VEBT) and represents England at Senior Level in Beach Volleyball. He has previously competed at EUSA Beach Volleyball Championships 2015, World University Championships 2016 and NEVZA events.

Matt Hunter

Having made his way through the England Talent Pathway, Matt represented England at Junior level. He currently plays his Indoor Volleyball with Super 8's team Wessex and competes on the VEBT. He now regularly competes for England at Senior Beach Level. He has previously competed at CEV U20 2013, FIVB U21 in 2014 and NEVZA events.

Ellie Austin

The youngest player pushing for Senior selection, Ellie has made her way through the England Talent Pathway and is still elligible for Junior selection also. She has represented England multiple times at both Indoor and Beach Volleyball and plays her club Volleyball with Beach Academy in Womens Division 2 South. She has also been a regular on both the JVEBT and VEBT circuits for several years. She has previously competed at FIVB U21 2016, CEV U18 and U20 2016.

Andy Clayton

Andy plays the majority of his Volleyball overseas for professional German club VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Prior to that he played for Super 8 clubs Wessex and Team Northumbria. He has previsouly represented England at both Indoor and Beach Volleyball. He has previously competed at World University Games 2016 and NEVZA events.

Harry Jones

Having made his way through the England Talent Pathway, primarily focussing on Beach Volleyball, Harry has now made his way to the Senior program. Studying Television Production at Bournemouth University, Harry also trains and plays Indoor Volleyball for Bournemouth University and Wessex in the Super 8's. He also competes on the VEBT circuit, having focussed his time on his beach career. Harry has previously competed at CEV Youth Continental Cup, CEV U18 2014, FIVB U21 2016, CEV U20 2015 and 2016, CEV U22 2016 and NEVZA events.

Rob currently studies, trains and plays his Volleyball in the USA, at the University of Mount Olive, playing for the Trojans Volleyball team. He was previously involved with the England Talent Pathway, before making the move to study in the states. But regularly competes for the England at Senior Beach level and on the VEBT.
