I started playing volleyball aged 15 because I was too tall to be a cheerleader. I’m glad I did, as it’s shaped my entire life! I’m lucky to have been able to play professional volleyball for six years in Germany, Italy and most recently Turkey.
I have also represented my country at London 2012 and will be returning to the next Olympics in Rio, working with NBC in the broadcasting centre. I am so happy to be a part of the England senior squad this summer as it’s an important step for the future of our sport here in the UK.
I started playing volleyball at the age of 10. At that point it was simply a bit of fun on a Monday evening with my school friends back home in Wolverhampton.
In 2014 I moved away from home and joined LeAF academy in Wessex, where I could train on court every day and develop my strength and conditioning off court. Between 2014 and 2016 I received 3 MVP awards at 4 national finals after leading my team to victories.
I have played for England since the age of 13 and progressed through the England Cadet and England Juniors squads to now be able to able represent my country as a senior player in the 2016 Global Challenge.

I started playing volleyball when I was 16 during GCSE PE and haven’t stopped since, thanks to some brilliant coaches who taught me how to play in a short space of time. I was still learning about rotations on the plane to my first game for the England Juniors team and since then I have been extremely privileged to be able to play all over the world.
I have played professionally in France since 2010 and went on to represent Team GB at London 2012. Playing in the Olympic Games is easily my proudest moment.

I started playing volleyball in secondary school when I was about 13 years old. At the time I was still playing football and hockey at county junior level, but soon found that I was enjoying volleyball much more and seemed to have ability for it.
After a year of playing for my school and at a local club, I began playing for England juniors both indoors and on the beach. My proudest moment is being selected for the England seniors squad.

I started playing volleyball when I was 11. After finding my love for the sport, I spent two years at the National Volleyball Academy in Loughborough to focus on my game on daily baisis. Because of this and the brilliant coaching at the academy, I was first capped for England seniors aged 17 in 2013 in Luxembourg.
I currently play in Canada for the University of New Brunswick and my proudest moment was winning the U18 National Championship in 2012.

I have been playing volleyball for six years now, since I was 13. My school was one of the Volleyball England academies, so volleyball was part of the PE curriculum.
I have since played for Tendring, who won the NVL division 1 in 2014/15 and competed in the Super 8s league last season. My proudest moment is undoubtedly being selected for the England senior women’s team.
I have been playing volleyball for 10 years now. I started out playing for Tameside Volleyball Club in Manchester as it was closely linked with my high school, where I won six junior national titles.
I began playing in NVL Division 1 for Tameside in 2011, up until I left the club in 2014 to join Tendring and Essex Blades at The University of Essex.
I first played for England in 2012 and have since has 22 junior caps. My proudest moment was helping Tendring gain promotion to the Super 8s league.

Originally from the Urhobo tribe of Delta State Nigeria, I moved to England to study in 2005. Now over a decade later, London has become my home away from home.
I have always been a competitive athlete – first at swimming, then cheerleading and gymnastics, before finding my love and passion for volleyball.
I was first introduced to the game at 20 during my time at Loughborough University. I mostly played recreationally, until 2012/13 when Jefferson Williams of Malory Eagles scouted me to play in the Super 8s league.
Last season, I joined my current club Polonia SideOut London, where we had an amazing campaign with one of my many highlights being beating the four-time defending champions in the National Cup Final.
My proudest moments as a volleyball player include being selected for the All African Games in 2015, representing GB at EUSA in 2013 and of course, being selected to play with the England senior women’s squad.
I grew up in a volleyball family so started playing at a young age, eventually playing in three UK school games for England juniors. For the past few seasons I have played for Team Northumbria, winning the Volleyball England Super 8s league and the NVL cup. My proudest moment is being selected for the England seniors team.
