Entries open for 2023-24 Student Cup

Who can enter?
All University and College teams from England, Scotland and Wales are welcome to enter the Student Cup (see regulations for full info).
How much does it cost?
• £108 per team for the qualifiers.
• £216 per team for the finals.
• £12 per player.

When is the deadline for entries?
The deadline for entries is Monday 23rd October.

How much volleyball do I get to play?
• Depending on entries, teams will all play in pools of four or five.
• Teams will play between three and four matches over their one-day qualifier in a bid to reach the finals.
When do the qualifiers take place?
• All six qualifiers take place in November at venues in Leeds, Kettering and Dorking.
• Teams will be able to select their preferred venue for their qualifier
How are the finalists chosen?
• One place to previous winner (2022-23).
• One place to previous runner-up (2022-23).
• One place to Student Sport Ireland reigning champion.
• Seven group winners of the qualifiers.
• Six next placed teams with the best records from qualifiers (teams will qualify for the finals on a points average basis taken across the second placed teams from the pool groups played in the qualifying rounds).
How are the Finals winners decided?
Finals weekend will be staged at University of East Anglia, Norwich on 3rd and 4th February. Pool matches involving the 16 finalists will be played on the Saturday followed by the knockout phase on the Sunday.
One men’s and one women’s team will be crowned Volleyball England Student Cup Champions, following in the footsteps of 2022-23 winners. Northumbria and UCL respectively.
