Volleyball Futures
Volleyball Futures supports the development of young players who aspire to play for England.
Volleyball Futures is evolving. After several successful years of delivering national camp experiences for young athletes, the volleyball programme is transitioning into the new Futures Talent Zones—regional hubs designed to offer earlier access, better support, and clearer pathways for developing players.
This change means more young athletes will benefit from high‑quality training closer to home, with Futures now fully integrated into the England Talent Pathway.
The Four Zones
Volleyball Futures is built around three key strands that work together to support both players and coaches. Based on junior participation patterns and logistics, four Zones will operate under Volleyball England oversight:
- North (Lancashire, Yorkshire, and north)
- Central (Midlands)
- London and East (London, Essex, Kent)
- South and West (Sussex, Surrey, and west)
These outlines are guides rather than fixed borders. Athletes will join the Zone that makes the most sense for travel — no “Zone hopping.” All Zones will receive equivalent support and run to the same standards.
What happens in a Talent Zone?
- Camps every 4–6 weeks: mostly one-day sessions, with longer options during school holidays.
- On-court and off-court development: performance behaviours, nutrition, sports psychology, Physical conditioning.
How do athletes get selected?
An open assessment session will take place in Loughborough on 18–19 July 2026 for athletes born in 2012 and 2013. Full details will be published here once finalised, so please check back for updates.

Volleyball England Beach Volleyball Futures Camps
