Commentators and social media content creators wanted for Cup Finals and Final 4

Knowledgeable about Volleyball and love talking about it? Want one of the best seats in the house for Volleyball England’s showpiece Cup Finals and Final 4 events?

If the answer is yes, then you can apply to be one of the commentary team that calls the action as it happens on our live stream feeds. 

Cup Finals Weekend 2024 is being held on 20th and 21st April at the National Volleyball Centre, Kettering, where 11 matches will be contested across two courts over the two days. weekend.   

For it, Volleyball England is looking to bring together a team of five commentators… with a balance of male and female voices. 

The Super League Final 4 follows on 27th and 28th April, again at the NVC, where eight matches will be played on one court and a team of four commentators is to be assembled, again with a male/female split.  


Commentator requirements 

  • Colour (analysis) commentators that have a good knowledge of the sport and / or the players 
  • Ideally an active player or coach 
  • People with energy and enthusiasm 
  • No prior experience required, but chosen commentators will be expected to have a few practice runs on old footage beforehand. 
  • Commentators would be expected to cover at least 2 matches per day. 

  

What commentators will receive 

  • A front row view of the matches 
  • Event T-Shirt 
  • Food and drinks throughout 
  • Accommodation on the Saturday night (if covering both Saturday and Sunday matches).

Volleyball England is also seeking two social media content creators to help produce the weekend’s social media coverage. 

You will assist the Media Manager by shooting video clips of the courtside action and celebrations on your mobile phone which will then be distributed across the Volleyball England Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. 

You may also be asked to conduct short interviews previewing matches and/or to gather post-match reaction. 

The ideal candidates will have an interest in sport and filming video to use on social media, but full guidance on what and how to film will be given.

  • A front row view of the matches 
  • Event T-Shirt 
  • Food and drinks throughout 
  • Accommodation on the Saturday night (if covering both Saturday and Sunday matches).
