Enter the 2024-25 Student Cup now!

Teams from England, Scotland and Wales are welcome to enter the competition, which will initially take part in one of three preliminary rounds in the autumn at Leeds, Kettering and Ashcombe.

The most successful teams in these these rounds will then head to the University of East Anglia in February to compete for the title of Student Cup Champions.

Who can enter?  

All University and College teams from England, Scotland and Wales are welcome to enter the Student Cup (see regulations for full info).

 

How much does it cost?   

• £114 per team for the qualifiers.  

• £227 per team for the finals.  

• £13 per player.

When is the deadline for entries?  

The deadline for entries is Friday 11th October.

 

How much volleyball do I get to play?   

Depending on entries, teams will all play in pools of four or five.   

Teams will play between three and four matches over their one-day qualifier in a bid to reach the finals.

 

When do the qualifiers take place?   

All six days of qualification take place in November at venues in Leeds, Kettering and Ashcombe (Dorking).  

Teams will be able to select their preferred venue for their qualifier.  

 

How are the finalists chosen?  

• The top two English teams for men and women.  

• One place to Student Sport Ireland's reigning champion for men and women.  

• Seven group winners of the qualifiers.  

• Six next-best placed teams with the best records from qualifiers (teams will qualify for the finals on a points average basis taken across the second placed teams from the pool groups played in the qualifying rounds).

 

How are the Finals winners decided?  

Finals weekend will be staged at University of East Anglia, Norwich on the 8th and 9th February. Pool matches involving the 16 finalists will be played on Saturday followed by the knockout phase on Sunday.  

One men’s and one women’s team will be crowned Volleyball England Student Cup Champions, following in the footsteps of 2023-24 winners. Kings and UCL respectively.
