Thank you for choosing to affiliate your club with Volleyball England. Whether you are forming a new club or formalising an existing group, we’re excited to welcome you to the volleyball community.
This page outlines everything you need to get started, including the essential requirements and the steps involved in affiliating with us.

What you will need to get started
Before we can get your club set up on our membership platform - VolleyZone, plase ensure that you have following requirements in place:
Governance
An up-to-date club constitution
A template is available here.
A club committee
This must include a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Club Welfare Officer. Ideally, these individuals should not be related to each other. We also recommend that the Club Welfare Officer is not the lead coach of the club.

Safegaurding
Safeguarding policy/policies appropriate to your club's age groups:
Adults only: Safeguarding Adults Policy (O18s). Clubs can either adopt the Volleyball England Safeguarding Adult Policy or create their own using the template here.
Juniors only: Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy (U18s). Clubs can either adopt the Volleyball England Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy or create their own using the template here.
Both Adults and Juniors: Clubs must have both of the above policies in place.

Coaching requirements
All coaches must have
an active coaching memberhip with Volleyball England. If your club includes junior members, coaches must also hold a valid DBS and renew their Safeguarding Children and Adults in Volleyball qualification every three years.

Setting up on VolleyZone
Once you have above requirements in place, please email the below details to volleyzone@volleyballengland.org to help us create your club profile on VolleyZone:
- Club name
- Club email address
- Venue address
- County name
- Club website or social media link (if available)
Once we’ve set up your club account, we’ll email your on the club email address provided by you to share you club login details for VolleyZone.

Wait for your club affiliation to be approved
Once the clubs finished ther club affialition process their affilaition will be approved by Volleyball England. Please ensure all required sections are correctly updated in VolleyZone (as outlined in the guide above) to avoid delays in club affiliaiton approval.
Please note: Membership benefits become active only once your affiliation is approved. This is to ensure that all Volleyball England affiliated clubs have minimum governance standard in place.
If there are any issues, the VolleyZone team will contact your club admin and secretary thorught the emails listed in your club's VolleyZone account.
Once your club affialition is approved, you will get a confirmation email on your club admin email.
You can also check the approval status of your affilaition under 'Events Purchased' in your club admin account or simply refer to this guide to learn how.

Download your affiliation certificate & insurance document
Once your club affiliation is approved, you will recive an email carrying key information about your membership benefits, access to Club Hub, and insurance.

Please note that access to Club Hub as well as insurance document for 2025-26 will be shared on 1st August 2025.
