Invicta backing local hospice with exhibition match fundraiser

Division 3 NVL club Invicta Volleyball is hosting a charity game at the end of April to raise money for local good cause Heart of Kent Hospice.

As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting the wider community beyond the court, they will welcome a team from Super League club Essex Rebels for an exhibition match.

Fellow Super League side IBB Polonia have also kindly donated the use of its courtside advertising system, while a dance show will be staged between the second and third sets.

The match will be held on Tuesday 30th April with a first serve at 7pm at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls, ME16 0SF.

Tickets to watch the match are now available to purchase on Eventbrite by clicking here. Corporate advertising on the LED screens is also available by contacting the club.

“We hope that this fixture will not only raise lots of money for a very important local charity, but also raise awareness of volleyball and awareness of the commercial potential of volleyball as a spectator sport,” said Invicta’s Luke Thomas.

The club is also supporting the Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent art trail this summer, again in support of the hospice.

It will see a miniature Shaun the Sheep sculpture – decorated by club members and wearing the club kit – feature as part of this summer’s trail in Maidstone.
