VolleyZone update (18 August)

VolleyZone update (18 August)

Volleyball England would like to thank clubs and members for their continued patience and understanding during the migration to the new VolleyZone.

As expected, there have been, and continue to be, a number of issues that have been flagged up and these are being worked through by developers SportLomo, and hub staff, as quickly as possible.

Those encountering problems in carrying out specific tasks on the website can get instant help by consulting the website FAQs or the YouTube videos.

Both cover a whole host of topics and address the needs of individuals, clubs, regions and counties, parents and guardians and referees.

Recent progress

Good progress continues to be made as the roll-out of the new VolleyZone continues, with more developments to follow:

  • Issues with the club hierarchy, which establishes in which region and county a club appears, have been resolved, except for a few isolated cases.
  • The club finder is now working for postcodes on new-build estates.
  • Teams have successfully submitted entries for Super League, NVL and Cup competitions via the system.
  • Clubs have been able to amend and communicate proposed fixture changes ahead of the new season. If your club has not yet done this, click here.
  • Volleyball England’s courses and events are available to book online. You can do so by clicking here.
  • Referees can log in to register their week-by-week availability for matches.

Individual registrations

Those still needing to complete individual registrations ahead of the new 2023-24 indoor season are now being encouraged to complete the process.

To help with this, a YouTube video has been produced to run through how to register. Click here to view it.

All members registered on the old VolleyZone system should have received an email asking them to reactivate their account (please check spam/junk folders if you can’t see the email).

If you are still having issues registering after consulting the explanatory video (see link above), or have not received your activation email, please email volleyzone@volleyballengland.org

Online guidance

Volleyball England held a VolleyZone drop-in session for team secretaries and admins last night (Thursday 17th August), which enabled the troubleshooting of individual issues. You can view the video recording from that session by clicking here

There will also be the opportunity to seek further VolleyZone guidance at the General Meetings for Super League, Division 1 and Division 2 teams (Monday 21st August) and NVL Division 3 teams (Tuesday 22nd August).

Details of how to join those meetings and at what time (all clubs are strongly encouraged to attend) have already been emailed out to club admins.

Further VolleyZone drop-in sessions will also be planned, and then communicated, in the weeks to come.
