Debra Smart Inducted into Weymouth Beach Classic Hall of Fame

Debra has volunteered within volleyball for more than 30 years and continues to play an important role within Volleyball England. She is currently the Officials Working Group Beach Volleyball Lead, as well as a Referee Tour and Observer.

Rowan Johnston from UKBT described the significance of the honour:

“To receive this award, you must be a vital component in the History of the Event. This is given for outstanding performance over many years’ service to the Classic either in a playing or supporting capacity.”

Volleyball England commented on Debra’s achievement:

"It is fantastic to see Debra inducted into the Weymouth Beach Classic Hall of Fame, joining a distinguished group of volleyball legends. This recognition is a testament to her unwavering commitment, dedication, and ongoing contribution to the sport."

Her place in the Hall of Fame celebrates more than three decades of services to volleyball, as well as the important role she continues to play in beach volleyball and officiating.
