The Student Sport Company partners with England Volleyball
The initial two-year partnership will allow talented young players wanting to play volleyball at UK universities to be able to carefully research potential places of study.
Those on the Talent Pathway will have access to the new Sportfolio platform, which will enable them to comprehensively compare each higher education establishment when it comes to sporting and learning excellence.
As part of the partnership, The Student Sport Company’s staff will deliver a workshop to introduce the platform to the players, ensuring they’re aware of the functionality of the platform, including searching for universities by specific criteria, such as location preferences, volleyball performance and overall BUCS points.
It is part of the Southend-on-Sea-based business’ commitment to identify opportunities where students can combine their sporting ambitions with their university degree.

"It presents a unique opportunity to not only promote the sport of volleyball but also to support the aspirations of young athletes as they pursue their academic and athletic goals at UK universities.

Volleyball England’s Strategic Manager for Talent, John Forman, added: “We’re delighted to have the Student Sport Company as an official Talent Pathway partner as we start to look forward to the new 2024-25 season, which largely coincides with what will be a new academic year.
There are so many options in terms of higher education establishments now available to young volleyball players, so it will be incredibly handy for them to be able to access the Sportfolio tool and quickly and effectively compare potential choices.”
