Super League Live to see 10 matches streamed on Volleyball England YouTube
Super League Opening Weekend – this year on 12th and 13th October, tickets available here – and Super League Final 4, are already broadcast as they happen on Volleyball England’s YouTube Channel.
Now five more dates will see double headers from English Volleyball’s elite division made available to watch across all devices.
It is part of the Volleyball England’s ambition, as outlined in the The Game Plan strategic document, to professionalise the Super League.
The matches chosen will be streamed between November and March – one per month – following on from Opening Weekend in October and preceding Final 4 in April.
“Streaming more matches is part of our plans to make the league more attractive to sponsors and partners and it also came back as high on the wish list of the player community during the Player Survey in terms of things they would like to see,” said Rob Payne, Volleyball England’s Strategic Manager for An Ace Service, who oversees the administration of the Super League.
“After inviting teams to put forward their interest as host venues, we’re delighted that we have got a programme of live fixtures from around the country that will keep the Super League in the limelight throughout the season.
“We took some big strides forward in terms of the quality of our live stream broadcasts last year and we have plans to continue that progression in the 2024-25 season.”
Michael Hanson-Morris, who was part of Volleyball England’s live streaming coverage of the 2023-24 season Cup Finals and Final 4 coverage, will be Super League Live’s anchor commentator.
Where available, he will be joined by guest commentators at each venue to offer additional insight and analysis.
Opportunities will be available for businesses to feature on the live streaming and courtside boards at each venue. Please email competitions@volleyballengland.org if you are interested in finding out more.
