GB squad named for World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup 2023

Great Britain has confirmed its squad for the World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup 2023 in Egypt.

The tournament will be staged from 12th to 18th November, with the team arriving on 8th November and flying home on 19th November. 

Classification and team training will take place on 9th and 10th November, with the opening ceremony and technical meeting on 11th November. 

Great Britain have been placed in a group alongside Germany, who finished second in the recent European Championships, Ukraine, who were third, and France. 

The winners of the World Cup will automatically secure a place at the Paris 2024 Paralympics next summer. 

“We recognise the strength of our group, but we would like to be in contention for a quarter-final spot,” said Team Manager, John Worrall.
