Super League Round 14 Preview: Gibbins on injury and progressing in the league

We caught up with Durham Palatinates Libero Max Gibbins after their Cup semi-final win over Essex Rebels and his hopes for the team for the last part of the season.

Currently injured, Max is working hard in the gym to regain his strength after surgery on his ACL. 

Durham sit fourth in the league and Max feels they have a strong chance to join their female teammates in the Final 4 at the end of April. 

Durham have a busy weekend ahead of them with games against unbeaten IBB Polonia and struggling Team Sunderland. They know that the last five games of the season are must win to be in with a chance of claiming a place in the Final 4.  

Both the men's and women's teams have a great relationship and work together to progress. Max is the only British player in an international squad of players and feels they help him improve as a player with their wealth of experience.
