Frequently Asked Questions

1. What Level of First Aid would you like us to have at matches/training?

We require that you have a qualified first aider at any game or training that takes place, and that their qualification is in date. This first aider can be provided by the venue, for example if there is a qualified person on reception. As part of the prerequisites for our level 2 coaching course we require a first aid qualification, so the majority of clubs will cover this requirement that way.

2. Do I need a registration to play in the Volleyball England cup and Shield?

Yes, players for NVL teams are covered by their NVL player registrations. Players for non NVL teams are required to purchase a local or regional player registration which is free of charge.

3. How can I delete a team on VolleyZone?

Unfortunately you do not have the access to delete a team on VolleyZone. However you have access to edit the team and re-purpose it. If you do wish to delete a team, please contact the Volleyball England HUB on Competitons@volleyballengland.org. Please be aware that any individuals associated with the team will be removed (not from VolleyZone but from the team) when the request has been completed.

1. I am an NVL player but I have selected the wrong federation of origin on my account & it is now saying that I need an international transfer. What does this mean and what can I do to get this changed?

International Transfers are required for any player whose Federation of Origin is not Volleyball England. “Federation of Origin” is the National Federation where a player was first registered to play in a volleyball competition (for a club, team, school, or other volleyball entity that is affiliated either directly or indirectly with the Federation) over the age of 14. More information can be found here.

If you have incorrectly put your federation of origin, please email competitions@volleyballengland.org and they will be able to help you with this

2. Some of my NVL players are not showing on our team page, why is this?

This could be for a couple of reasons:

1. The player has not yet purchased their NVL player registration, please watch the video on how to do this.

2. The player requires an international transfer which has not been completed. More information on international transfers can be found here. International transfers require Volleyball England to approve this once it has been completed.

3. There membership is currently waiting approval based on their international transfer.

3. Why am I NOT getting emails from the Volleyball England HUB/opposition about matches?

The Volleyball England HUB and your opposition use the team secretary and secondary team contacts information stored on VolleyZone to contact you. VolleyZone is a self-service platform, so you need to get the details updated by your club committee or other team secretary if listed.

4. I have left my position/club/team why am I still receiving emails?

The Volleyball England HUB and your opposition use the team secretary and secondary team contacts stored in VolleyZone to contact you. VolleyZone is a self-service platform, so you need to update the details.

5. I accidentally joined the wrong team in my club. Are you able to change my membership without me paying a transfer fee?

You shouldn't be required to pay a transfer fee to move teams within the same club. If you have any issues with this then please contact competitions@volleyballengland.org

6. I am an NVL player but I have selected my Federation of Origin as England rather than another country when setting up my profile. I know I require an International transfer so how I can I get this initiated?

Please contact competitions@volleyballengland.org about your international transfer, please include your VIS number if known. A member of the team will be able to provide further instructions to support you with your international transfer request.

7. Do we need to have a level 2 coach list on our team sheet?

You are required to have a qualified coach (Coach Award/Level 2) listed as your Head Coach with your NVL team on VolleyZone. If your coach is working towards completing their Coach Award qualification, evidence must be supplied to competitions@volleyballengland.org

8. I am moving teams this year, how do I complete my NVL Transfer?

To initiate your transfer, please follow the below steps:
1. Log into your member account,
