Return to refereeing

The return to refereeing policy applies to individuals wishing to rejoin Volleyball England as a referee member where there is no record of their referee qualification on VolleyZone.

This policy ensures that returning referees can safely and appropriately re enter the Volleyball England Referee Development Pathway while maintaining current standards of knowledge and competence.

This policy does not apply to referees who have an active approved sabbatical request with Volleyball England. In these cases, the referee's return will be managed in accordance with the conditions of their sabbatical arrangement.

Referees who previously held the historical Grade 3 Regional or Grade 3 National qualification and are returning under this policy will be recognised as a Grade 3 Referee.
