Volleyball England: Rob Payne 

Rob has a vast understanding of the funding landscape and has worked to generate funding for club growth and facility bids both on a localised and national scale. 

What you will learn:

  • What makes an effective funding bid

  • Sport England Small Grants tips
  • The key skills in writing a funding application
  • The partners and organisations that you could gain support from

Building Back Stronger

Deliverer:

Sport Structures

Sport Structures provide high quality services to sports organisations to develop solutions and maximise impact. The team are highly skilled, have considerable knowledge and experience, providing accessible learning and development opportunities. 

What you will learn:

  • How to express the impact of COVID-19 on your club
  • How to identify the current health status of your club and areas of risk
  • Outline recovery strategies that can aid your club
  • Identify opportunities to assist your club going forward

What you will receive:

  • Access to online resources
  • An invitation to attend a 1-hour follow up webinar post-conference with Sport Structures to share ideas and follow up on actions off the back of the workshop

Junior Development

Volleyball England: Nick Shaffery

Nick is Volleyball England's Children & Young People Lead and most recently leading on the delivery of Volley2s. Nick has a real passion for getting young people playing volleyball. Not only a 16-year professional in School Sport and West Midlands Junior Development Officer, Nick was the founder of Tettenhall Tigers Volleyball Club in 1994. Still a thriving junior club with a pathway into senior leagues, national age group competitions and players that have represented England.
