England to play in Novotel Cup
19th November 2019
England will be back on the international stage early next year, as the women's and men's senior teams compete in the Novotel Cup.
Taking place from 3rd-5th January 2020, England will face Iceland, Scotland and hosts Luxembourg in the traditional tournament.
The return to international competition will give the best English players the opportunity to gain caps and the prestige of playing for their country. The players will have a training camp in late December when head coaches Maria Bertelli and Simon Loftus will select their women's and men's final squads respectively.
In the last Novotel Cup in 2018, England men won a silver medal and recorded an impressive victory over Germany, who went on to take gold. While the women's team will be returning to the Novotel Cup for the first time since 2013 when they finished third.
