Netting supplier Huck Nets has come on board to support Volleyball England’s 2020 Annual Awards.

The organisation is the first to back this year’s ceremony and has chosen to sponsor the Club of the Year category.

In 2019, the trophy was won by Richmond Volleyball Club, which has fostered a culture of excellence and inclusivity by competing at the highest level while maintaining grassroots volleyball for everyone, regardless of their ability, age, or gender.

Jon Legg-Bagg, Sales Director at Huck Nets, said: “Huck Nets is delighted to be sponsoring Club of the Year at this year’s Annual Awards.

“We have been manufacturing sports netting since 1963 and have been operating from our premises in Bridport since 1996.

“Huck has been synonymous with the manufacture and supply of top-quality volleyball nets for many years, from volleyball nets that meet international tournament standards to volleyball training nets.

“Our netting is of the best quality and we are proud to have supplied netting to various prestigious sporting venues and events, including tennis nets to Wimbledon, football nets to the Premier League and cricket nets to Lord’s.”

The 2020 Annual Awards launched on 13th May with nominations closing on 24th June.

Sue Storey, Chief Executive of Volleyball England, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Huck Nets onboard as an awards sponsor.

“By backing our Annual Awards, Huck Nets is directly investing into the volleyball community and supporting this important celebration of the sport’s grassroots heroes.

“The Club of the Year Awards brings with it a lot of prestige and will no doubt once more by a hotly contested category. Good luck to all nominees and thank you again to Huck Nets for their support.”
