New Volleyball England membership year begins on 1st August

From 1st August, with excitement at fever pitch after the recent announcement that competitive volleyball, beach volleyball and outdoor volleyball have been given the green light to return, ensure you remain covered by renewing your club, coach and referee memberships

Current 2019/20 memberships will expire at 11:59pm on 31st July, from which time you will be able to renew online via VolleyZone.

A key component of returning to play safely, club affiliation offers a host of benefits. From free-of-charge DBS checks for eligible club volunteers and coaches and the opportunity to post free job ads on the Volleyball England website to access to the highest levels of volleyball competitions in the country.

The wealth of club development expertise of the Volleyball England Hub is a great bonus of club membership too, with an offer including information, advice, resources, ideas and expertise that clubs at any stage of their development will find of use.

Facilities and funding advice are strong components of the Hub’s skillset and experienced staff with a strong understanding of sports development practices are on hand to help support your club. Affiliated clubs can get advice on how to run a club most effectively, whether it be from a governance, financial, development or safeguarding perspective.

Annually, affiliated clubs are invited to take part in the Club Survey, where responses shape the development and direction of the national governing body – centred around developing clubs and reaching out to the grassroots level of the sport.

In addition, Volleyball England acts as advocates and commercial negotiators on affiliated clubs’ behalf, lobbying strongly on the issues that matter most to our sport. Most recently, this has included successfully submitting periodic plans to the government to campaign for training and competitive volleyball to return.

Looking to join the thriving network of 343 volleyball clubs across the country? Newly affiliated clubs receive a discount in their first year and affiliation for junior-only clubs is free.

Coaches and Referees

The return of structured competitive leagues, tournaments and events for beach volleyball and volleyball, including the National Volleyball League, are hopefully just around the corner. Make sure you are competition ready and renew your coach and/or referee registration on VolleyZone

Coaches and referees receive liability insurance up to £5 million, provided that the activity falls within your Volleyball England coaching or refereeing role – giving you piece of mind when returning to volleyball.

A discount of £10 applies when you renew your coach and referee registrations in the same transaction.

Visit the coach and referee membership pages to discover more benefits of registration.
