Polonia’s European rollercoaster continues in CEV Cup

IBB Polonia London's European campaign resumes on Tuesday, 15th December when they face Serbia’s OK Nis in the Round of 16 in the CEV Cup.

Montepellier, France, is the location of this clash, with the winner facing either Mladi Radnik Pozarevac or Montpellier Castelnau UC in the quarter-finals shortly afterwards in an adjusted competition format.

It has been a rollercoaster of a season so far for the English champions in Europe. After a spirited performance against giants Trentino in their opener, Polonia made history by taking the first set in their match with OK Vojvodina. Polonia locked horns with the Serbian champions in what was a nail-biting match. Sadly, it wasn’t to be.

The end of one journey marked the start of another as Polonia marched into the CEV Cup. However, their opponents Volejbal Brno were forced to withdraw from the competition due to complications with the Covid-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic, allowing Polonia to proceed to the next round to face OK Nis.

Good luck Polonia!
