Grant support to establish new sitting volleyball teams

The Volleyball England Foundation has re-opened its sitting volleyball grant programme, giving affiliated clubs the opportunity to bid for up to £1,000 to help establish new teams.

Hull Thunder, Leeds Gorse and Manchester Marvels all successfully applied for support when the development fund, which is supported by World ParaVolley, first opened at the end of 2020.

The second round of funding is open until 9th July and will once more cover posts and nets, learning resources and training for coaches and officials. Application decisions will be made shortly afterwards by the Foundation, a charitable organisation that is closely aligned to Volleyball England.

Simone Turner, Chair of the Volleyball England Foundation, said: “As we come out of lockdown we will be looking to work with a number of clubs who are keen to add sitting volleyball to the menu of activities offered in their club.”

Interested parties should request an application by emailing foundation@volleyballengland.org. More information can be found on the Volleyball England Foundation website.
