Governance re-structure and policies update ahead of AGM

In a move to further align resource to support the delivery of our new strategy, we have launched a new set of Sub Groups.
Sub Groups are given delegated responsibility to identify issues and develop programmes or projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery of our strategic objectives.
Following a review, the decision has been made to replace the Core Market, Technical & Talent, Finance & Strategy, and Marketing & Commercial Sub Groups. With immediate effect, the new Sub Groups will be as follows: Volleyball For Life, Get Keep Grow, An Ace Service, and Finance, Strategy & Risk.
Three of the new Sub Groups align to our strategic priorities, as set out in The Game Plan:
- Volleyball For Life - We aim to better understand, articulate and promote the opportunities that volleyball provides for anyone, at any stage of their life.
- Get. Keep. Grow. - We will look to strengthen the English volleyball club structure by working hand in hand with clubs to help them achieve their ambitions.
- An Ace Service - We will work collaboratively to deliver and continuously improve the products and services that most benefit our clubs and the wider volleyball community, while also ensuring they provider healthy revenue streams that enable reinvestment in the sport.
Working Groups – which sit underneath Sub Groups and are another key part of Volleyball England’s governance structure – have not been changed.
Additionally, ahead of our 2021 AGM a number of key policies and procedures have also been updated.
For example, there is a fresh new Code of Conduct policy to promote a safe, engaging, fair and inclusive sporting environment for everyone, which members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with.
