Would you like to establish a new sitting volleyball team?
12th October 2021
The Volleyball England Foundation has re-opened its sitting volleyball grant programme, giving Volleyball England affiliated clubs the opportunity to bid for up to £1,000 to help establish new teams.
Over the last 12 months the Volleyball England Foundation - a charitable organisation that is closely aligned to Volleyball England - has helped 5 volleyball clubs to develop sitting volleyball sections. Hull Thunder, Leeds Gorse and Manchester Marvels were the first volleyball clubs to benefit, with Nottingham Rockets and Salisbury also later bring awarded grants.
The development fund is supported by World ParaVolley and can cover the costs of posts and nets, learning resources and training for coaches and officials.
For this third tranche of funding, applicants must submit their applications by Tuesday, 9th November. Application decisions will be made in December by the Volleyball England Foundation.
Simone Turner, Chair of the Volleyball England Foundation, said: “As we come out of lockdown we will be looking to work with a number of clubs who are keen to add sitting volleyball to the menu of activities offered in their club.”
