Safeguarding training requirements and roles

Find safeguarding information to support you in your role, as well as the Safeguarding Training Requirements document which lists the minimum training requirements needed for roles within volleyball.

You can download the document below to help, while you can also find details on required training, recommended CPD and the various safeguarding roles under the appopriate sub-heading.

Anyone renewing their safeguarding certificate after 1 April 2025 will be required to complete the Volleyball England Safeguarding Children and Adults in Volleyball course. From this date, Volleyball England will no longer accept safeguarding certificates from external providers, including those issued in education, healthcare, or other sectors.

Volleyball England would also recommend clubs read the CPSU Duty of Care Briefing to start thinking broader about safeguarding.
