Volleyball England in support of Safeguarding Adults Week

This week is National Safeguarding Adults Week 2025, with Volleyball England keen to remind all clubs, administrators, officials, volunteers and players of its importance.

Championed by the Ann Craft Trust, it runs from 17th to 21st November around the overall theme of prevention.

Each day, there are also separate themes: Monday – Change the Conversation; Tuesday – Prevention in Practice; Wednesday – Creating Empowering Environments; Thursday – Trust Your Instincts; Friday – Celebrate the Safer Cultures.

Volleyball England is planning the release of its own content to support the national campaign with website articles, resources and social media posts in a bid to amplify important messages to help all feel safe within the sport of volleyball.

“Often when people think about safeguarding, their first thought is about children and young people, but it’s just as vital for organisations to get things right when considering adults,” said Laura Allcoat, Volleyball England’s Strategic Manager for Safeguarding and Membership.

“Hopefully the items released across our platforms in the coming days will be a useful guide and reminder when it comes to the safeguarding of adults.”
