Beach Referee Practical Day

On the 29th March 2026, a Grade 4 Beach Volleyball Referee course took place in Cardiff.

The course formed part of a wider programme of education opportunities designed to develop new officials and support the growth of the sport.

Led by Sam Dunbavin, participants completed a blend of theoretical learning and practical on-court experience, reflecting the standard structure of the entry qualification, which combines rules education with live match officiating.

Following the successful delivery of the course, six candidates have now qualified as new beach referees for Volleyball england.

Their addition strengthens the pool of officials available for grassroods and regional beach volleyball ahead of the 2026 season.
