England Senior Men squad selection for Nordic Cup 2026

The England squad to play in the Nordic Cup in Helle Hallen, Denmark between 12th August and 16th August can now be confirmed.

Matches will be staged from 13th August and 15th August and the event will be live streamed here. Tickets can be purchased here at here

Head Coach Simon Loftus says the tournament will be a great opportunity for players to continue to gain high-level international experience.

“This tournament has been extremely important for the squad and the programme over the last three years,” he said. “It has provided us with our sole outlet in terms of playing high level teams in meaningful competition.

“This year has added importance as the competition will carry world ranking points and provide us with a benchmark against the rest of the world.

“Unfortunately, we will be travelling to Denmark without some key players, but I feel the work we have being doing this season has been positive and the opportunity to play Denmark and Sweden days before they play in the European Championship finals is a huge honour.

“Some of the junior players that excelled in the BVF Championships last weekend have earned a call up to the senior team and we are excited to see how they cope with the jump in level.

“Volleyball England’s Performance Director, Alex Porter, added: “The Nordic Cup is another important step in the continued development of our senior men's programme.

“Every international match provides an opportunity to measure ourselves and with valuable FIVB ranking points on offer at the Nordic Cup, we know we’ll be facing tough opposition.

“I’m excited to see this group compete, embrace the occasion and continue driving English volleyball forward. Good luck to Coach Loftus, all the players and staff."
