Referees asked to activate VolleyZone account ahead of 2023-24 season

Referees asked to activate VolleyZone account ahead of 2023-24 season

Referees planning to officiate in the 2023-24 season are being asked to activate their account on the new administration platform VolleyZone.

This will encompass membership, competitions, courses and more importantly a Referee Management System for referee appointments (replacing the previously used Who’s The Ref platform).

At this stage, there are two steps for referees to complete:

1.       Activating their referee account – Click here for instructional video.

2.       Providing any unavailability for the 2023-24 season – Click here for instructional video.

This is to let us know your availability to be appointed as a 1st or 2nd referee to the following competitions: NVL, National Cup, Sitting Grand Prix, Last 8 of Junior Competitions, Inter-regionals and Student Cup.

If you are a qualified Grade 4, with significant game experience and feel competent and confident to referee in the lower NVL divisions we welcome you.

Deadline

Please note the deadline for completing the above steps is 15th August, at which point the referee appointments process will start.

Help

Anyone struggling with either of these steps should contact volleyzone@volleyballengland.org.

What’s next?

Once the appointments process is underway, Volleyball England will share further information on the referee post-match protocols and use of the app.

Referee Registration

The 2023-2024 membership season is now open to allow you to reregister as a referee.  Here is the link that explains what to do. VolleyZone | Referees | How to Activate Your Referee Account - YouTube

On VolleyZone, your membership account only shows your active registration status for the season.  To view your qualifications, click on the Qualifications button.  Showing your highest qualification (all disciplines) on your membership account is a future development in VolleyZone.
