Volleyball England Foundation roles: Foundation Trustees

The Foundation wants to develop a diverse group of people with a wide range of skills, experience and knowledge. Understanding the role of a trustee would be an advantage, but the organisation is prepared to provide support and training for individuals if they are committed to the aims and objectives of the Foundation.
Particular skills that are sought are those in IT, Fundraising, Marketing, and Copy Writing.
The aims of the foundation are:
- To support the development, to educate and promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and groups through taking part in all forms of volleyball.
- To help ensure the opportunity to play volleyball is available to all and not limited by income, facilities, location or ability.
Salary
This is a non-salaried position. Travel and other reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed for attendance at meetings and events on behalf of the Volleyball England Foundation.
Location
Most meetings are held over the internet, but when needed meetings will take place at various locations in central England.
Key trustee responsibilities
Ensuring strong governance and management for the Foundation.
Attending trustee meetings, which are usually held once a quarter.
Supporting fundraising and developing partnerships – building connections and helping to secure funds from a wide range of sources
Be willing to be a spokesperson and ambassador for the Foundation, when appropriate.
Attending events and external meetings, when appropriate.
Upholding the values of the sport and to ensure these are applied in its work.
