Could you be an Assistant Coach Award tutor?

Could you be an Assistant Coach Award tutor?

Volleyball England is looking for additional tutors to deliver the Assistant Coach Award.

Particularly welcome are women coaches and coaches from ethnically diverse communities who are under-represented in the current tutor workforce, as well as those to cover the regions of North East, East, London and South.

Ideal candidates will be able to build rapport, create positive relationships, influence coaching behaviours and want to work as part of a wider team to develop coaches in England.

Tutors are required to have Level 3 qualifications in tutoring and assessing. However, for those who don't, there is the opportunity to have your training fully funded.

This training will take place on the weekend of 29th and 30th June 2024 in Milton Keynes, and you can find out what it involves by clicking here.

Successful applicants receive one-to-one mentoring support to help them through the training and induction period.

Volleyball England provides tutors with the course materials and resources, administrative support from the Volleyball England Hub, and regular updates and professional development opportunities.

Tutors will have to deliver courses based on national need and not to the sole benefit their own club or organisation.

Volleyball England tutors are self-employed and handle their own tax and business arrangements and provide the necessary equipment to fulfil the role (e.g., laptop and internet access).

All interested female tutors are invited to join a “Get to Know the Role Webinar” on Sunday 24th March at 8pm where you can hear from current female tutors about what they love about the job and any challenges they have met along the way.

If you are interested, email coaching@volleyballengland.org to receive a link to the webinar.

You can find out more about the format and course content of the Assistant Coach Award by clicking here.
