The Big Idea: how to join our competitions innovation debate

Registration for ‘The Big Idea’ has now opened.

Announced last week, this virtual debate will bring together innovators and creative thinkers, from in and outside of the volleyball community, to propose and discuss new game formats and competitions that will celebrate volleyball’s return in 2021 and beyond.

Between 6.30-8.30pm on Wednesday, 17th February, debate will focus on two key questions:

  • What new competitive game formats could we consider introducing, post-Covid, that could generate increased interest in our sport and provide clubs with new ways of attracting and retaining players, while also opening up possible new commercial opportunities and revenue streams?
  • Once Covid restrictions are lifted, what possible one-off event (or series of events) could we consider running to celebrate the return of our sport, to raise its profile and to provide an opportunity for clubs / members to get straight back into some form of competitive action?

If you have a new idea that could help celebrate and promote the big bang return of volleyball, we would love for you to attend.
