Bello brothers relishing return home for UK Beach Tour Grand Slam Finals

The London-based twin brothers, 25, are no strangers to the South Coast sand, having triumphed in the shadows of the famous pier in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Joaquin was also victorious alongside Australian Cole Durant in 2023, while Javier was out injured - the last team either sibling was able to participate.

Since then, the Bello brothers’ collective star has risen sharply, securing their maiden Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 victory in Rio last November.
At the time of publication, they currently sit 13th in the men’s beach volleyball world rankings and are looking forward to a rare tournament on home sands before heading overseas again in a bid to secure the required points to qualify for the November’s World Championships in Adelaide.
“It’s always exciting to compete at home and specially to give back to the UK beach volleyball community,” said the number one seeds’ Javier Bello.
“We grew up playing on the national tour, so we are proud to be able to support it and help to promote the sport.
“The UK Finals are always a nice atmosphere and they fit well into our preparation for the upcoming Beach Pro Tour stops in Brazil.
“We hope to see many old and new faces this weekend and help to make the event a success!”

The men’s draw will also feature England teenagers Luca Robinson and Lewis Bunton in what will be their final warm-up before they head out Corigliano Rossano, Italy for the CEV European U18 Beach Volleyball Championships 2025 next week.
Another pair to watch are Harry Jones, who played in June’s NEVZA Beach England event in Bridlington, and Dalton Bunde, a Super League Final 4 bronze medallist for Malory Eagles at Crystal Palace in April (indoors).
In the women’s section, Scots Lynne Beattie and Mhairi Wallace go in as the number one seeds, while defending champions will be a pair familiar to indoor fans, with Maria Sviridova (Lionhearts Vinarius) and Yulia Tokorenko (Team Sideout Polonia) joining forces.
Out to go one better than 12 months ago will be Gerda Berštautaitė and Lorena Tussis, who finished as runners-up on that occasion.
It is free entry to attend as a spectator, with all welcome to attend.
The headline sponsor for this year’s event is Poole-based MSP Capital. Find out more about the event on the UKBT website.
