Archibald and Hall out in USA for Sitting Volleyball World Cup

Glynn Archibald will be officiating and Kendra Hall playing for the host side the USA in Fort Wayne from this Sunday, 12th October, through to 18th October.
Experienced referee and administrator Glynn represented England as a Referee Delegate at last summer’s Paralympics in Paris.
He regularly referees both in the Volleyball England Sitting Grand Prix and indoor Super League and NVL matches.
In Fort Wayne, he will again act as the Referee Delegate and have overall responsibility for all the refereeing aspects of the event.
Supporting him will be an Assistant Referee Delegate, four Referee Coaches and 15 International Referees.
Glynn said: “I am really looking forward to another global event. The great pleasure is to see the event through to the end without any significant incident.
“The standard is good and improving. I think the new rules over the last four years have allowed more spectacular sitting volleyball, and I expect that to continue.
“It is always an honour and a pleasure to represent World ParaVolley and Volleyball England in these global events.
“Global politics are having an impact, as we have had visas for officials being declined, which impacts the number of officials who cannot be changed or replaced at short notice.
“But this is part and parcel of the challenge. With the team around me supporting, we expect it to be another fantastic event.”

Kendra, meanwhile, is a three-time Paralympian for her country, winning two silvers and a bronze from the 2004, 2008 and 2012 under her maiden name, Lancaster.
Originally from Indianapolis, she set up Salisbury Sitting Volleyball in 2021 in the city where she now lives along with husband, Ben.
Now she has come out of international retirement to compete at the highest level, with the USA set to take on Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands at Turnstone Center’s Plassman Athletic Center.
