We are recruiting for 2 new coaches to join our England Talent Pathway setup.

U19 (Junior Women) Head Coach 

We are looking for the next coach to lead the U19 Junior Women's development programme. After giving so much to the national team and playing a key role in the development of countless athletes, Danny Primus has decided to step back. We thank Danny for his passion and dedication and wish him luck with whatever he chooses to do next. 

The programme brings together 24 of the most talented athletes in England and supports their holistic development as all round athletes. Athletes are helped to progress the key technical, tactical, physical, and psychological skills and abilities required to perform at the highest level. 

We are looking for a positive and welcoming leader who can lead a team of 4 assistant coaches and team manager, build constructive relationships with club coaches and the federation and can demonstrate an athlete-centred approach to training and competition. This is not a paid position. Read the job description here.

Application process 

  • If you are interested in the position, please complete this online application form ahead of the deadline on 11th August. Shortlisting will take place on 12th August. 
  • Interviews will be held on the 16th August by video call between 19:00-22:00.

  • The Head Coach will need to be available for trials on 1st October at the National Volleyball Athletes to select the athletes for the programme, and potentially lead the team at NEVZA in Finland 27th -31st Oct 2022. 

U17 (Cadet Girls) Assistant Coach 

The U17 Girls' team is looking to recruit an additional assistant coach to work with Head Coach Darren Lewis and Team Manager Iwona Grabon. This role is a crucial in the development of young athletes and the appointed coach will need to have a good track record of working with young players. The squad train monthly at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, where 36 players from clubs around England come together for high quality training.   • Applications close on the 4th September and shortlisting will take place on the 5th September.
  • Interviews will be held on the 7th September by video call between 19:00-22:00. Please note applicants will need to be available on this day as the panel has been convened.
