Help your players overcome physical barriers to improve their performance with Gary Hutt
It’s a fairly common to see volleyball players in England that are very skilled technically and tactically, however face physical barriers limiting their overall performance on-court. This session will be looking at the technical and tactical requirements of volleyball training through a physical lens. The session aims to explore the ways in which physical barriers can be tackled by the coach without impacting on the finite training time they have access to with each athlete. This coaches will leave with physical training drills they can apply in their sessions, as well as a different lens to look at technical training through to achieve the response they are looking for from the athletes they work with.
Gary Hutt has over 10 years’ experience of delivering high performance strength and conditioning to athletes competing from grass roots to elite level across an impressive number of sports. Most notably, Gary has over 5 years’ experience working with Volleyball athletes including the GB women’s team in preparation for London 2012 and athletes across the England National Talent Pathways.
As the founder and managing director of VolleyScience Ltd. Gary has created an online resource translating sport science for volleyball coaches, athletes and parents to use and apply to training. Additional, he has designed and built the PBJumps online training program for volleyball athletes, which individually tailors physical training to the needs of each individual volleyball player it supports.
