Bespoke netting manufacturer Huck Nets are once more backing Volleyball England’s Annual Awards.
The well-known family business supplies Indoor and Beach Volleyball nets and accessories.
Huck Nets have supported our annual celebration of clubs, volunteers, coaches and referees for a number of years. We are delighted they are continuing their commitment to reinvesting in our sport by sponsoring the Club of the Year Award.
Back in 2022, Leeds Gorse picked up the prestigious Club of the Year trophy. One of the qualities that made their nomination stand out was the support they had provided to refugees.
"Volleyball is a language in itself, you don't need to be able to speak it, but everybody can play it,” said Dave and Penny Speers, who run Leeds Gorse.
“It doesn't matter where you come from, or what you have, or what you don't have. Volleyball is the language and that is it really. Once you have that common language, you don't need anything else, it's as simple as that."
Rob Walter, from Huck Nets, said:
“Huck Nets are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Club of the Year Award, it is great to support the contributions towards Volleyball at all levels.”
Charlie Ford, Chief Executive of Volleyball England, said:
“I’m grateful to Huck Nets for their ongoing commitment to the Annual Awards. Their support will help us to develop and enhance the sport further.”
The winners of this year’s Annual Awards will be announced at an in-person awards ceremony during Cup Finals weekend.
